Permanent Change

Day 21
Good morning!!! Wow, I can't believe it's already the last day of the fast! Research indicates that it takes 21 days to BEGIN to form or break a habit.

This fast was only a starter. What are we to do now?

From some conversations had with many of you, there are people who have been greatly impacted, changed and evoked increased awareness. I recommend you continue to work on ways to make those changes permanent. Sometimes it takes more than 21 days to create or break a habit and that's OKAY. Take the time and re-read the messages and do another 21 days, do 40 days or whatever works for you.

In the past people have even re-done the fast with a group of people during the year. Do whatever it takes for this to have even the smallest lasting change. The bible says, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.” (Matt 9:17). If you have changed and made progress you can't go back to the ways of the past. Now you know better, do better. It will simply be worse to go readopt those negative habits. So take whatever new positive habit you've formed and place it into your new life (new wine skin).

If this was your first encounter with the Lord I encourage you to get to know more about Him. I'd love to pray for or with you. If you know the Lord I encourage you to continue doing things to assist you to grow in your walk. If you don't have it already, the bible app has (http://www.bible.com/app) great devotionals with daily reminders and verses to keep you growing. This has been such a blessing to fast with you all. I am always open to praying and sharing an encouraging word so don't hesitate if you need to reach out after the fast is over. Thank you for being a part of this fast!! Have a wonderful positive day!! -Monica B.

#POSITIVITY

Wisdom

Day 20
Positive Surroundings

Good morning!! It was so awesome to hear people sharing gratitude with others and even personally receiving messages and phone calls of expressing the gratitude challenge. I know many people have busy lives, but I encourage you to live out the challenges of positivity that were presented this week. Now that we are winding down the positivity fast an important factor of maintenance arises. In this process we have to begin to realize who we are to be surrounded by and what things we should allow in our presence in order to move in a more positive direction in life.

If you haven't done so yet begin to pray that God changes your surroundings and makes you more aware of the things that pull you away from being positive. This could be certain friends, certain music, and certain things you watch on television or even certain places you go. In order to become more positive it is also important to know you are not meant to do it alone. The bible tells us in Proverbs 27:17 that "iron sharpens iron". Some of you have been taking this journey to positivity already with friends or family which is great. Let people you are around know your goals to live more positively so that when they see you slipping they can remind you of who you are striving to be.

Throughout this fast I have found it to be wonderful in times when things go wrong to have those friends around to remind me that I need to look at or say something more positively. You see, society often encourages us to remain isolated and minimize relationships, or not make new friends, but God wants us in community so that we can hold accountability to each other. This principle goes for far more than positivity but in life (marriage, celibacy, completing school, breaking addiction, etc) we are not meant to do it alone.

Today I encourage you to start evaluating who is holding you accountable and what surroundings you are in. If you do not have people doing so begin to open up to those around you. If you don't have any positive people around you, I can help connect you to some or help you pray for it. I've heard many great testimonies of people who've asked God for new genuine people in their lives and have received that and much more. Don’t walk this path alone. I hope you all have a wonderful blessed day!! - Monica

Gratefulness

Day 19

Day 19

Gratefulness Paid Forward

Good morning!! Sorry for the delay today. Early this morning I received a message, the theme of being grateful continued to weigh heavy in my spirit. In reading someone's expression of gratitude, it allowed me to reflect upon my gratitude for the people and things in my life. I then realized the impact it makes in one's life to know and be told that they are appreciated. It was then that the Lord had me realize that although we touched upon not wanting what others have, we truly did not dive into the importance of being grateful.

Each of us has one thing in common to be grateful for today, which is, if you are reading this, you woke up to see another day! In our prayers let’s not ever forget to tell God the things we are grateful for and not just always asking. He too wants us to acknowledge that we see what He is doing in our lives. The most positive thing we could do is find less reasons to complain and more reasons to express gratitude. Though it may look tough on your end, there are others battling the same situations or worse, and you have been given another day to fight in this life that someone else wasn’t. But remember, you're not fighting alone. God is always with you, His word states in Hebrews 13:5 "... I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Today I challenge you to reflect upon these past 19 days or even this past year if you must and acknowledge all the things and people to be grateful for. In addition to paying positivity forward give someone a call, send an email or a text message, write a note or even make a visit to someone. Make it a point to express to 3 people that you are grateful for something they have done or that they currently do for you (big or small). Even something like “thank you for getting me coffee that day I was really tired”, “thanks you for always smiling in the morning”, “thank you for being there when I needed you most” or even thanking you leaders for the work that they do, the list goes on. These purposeful actions not only work on your heart, but theirs as well. This of all things I challenged I truly encourage EVERY single one of you to do. Simply send me a message saying “Done”.

I look forward to manyyyyy messages over the week saying “Done”. I am grateful that over 120 of you have given me an opportunity to be used by God in your life these past 19 days. Thank you!!! Have a Happy Monday! - Monica B.

Smile

Day 18

Smiling in spite of

Good morning!! I hope that you have been remembering your random and intentional acts of kindness. Spread the positivity even if you are struggling yourself, it will make you feel better. One way we can spread positivity is to smile. Though it may seem small we do not know how it may impact someone's day or even encourage them to smile. Even when you are not having the best of days there is so much power in your ability to smile. It is the “in spite of” choice. In spite of my day I will choose to smile, I will choose to be positive. In spite of my circumstance I will choose to be intentional about how I treat others.

Smile

There is an anonymous quote that says "your smile is a gift to the world". You may not be able to gift the world with materialistic things but you have the impact and ability to smile as a gift. Some people accept the fact that they "look mean" to others even if they are nice and just expect people to go out their way and approach them (which may happen sometimes) but it's not okay.

Start being intentional about smiling just because with people you know and people you encounter, as well as saying good morning, etc. Don't get comfortable in not radiating your positivity to others. Fun research fact they've found smiling helps with certain health benefits including lowering blood pressure, improves mood, relieves stress, strengthens your immune system, lessens pain and simply smiling is contagious.

I encourage you today to begin practicing improving the frequency of your smile! Have a fantastic day smile filled day!!! - Monica

Lighten your Load

Day 17

Lighten your Load

Good evening!! As I have prayed for many of you over the past few days, I know that positivity is not always easy especially in the midst of trials or uncertainty. I encourage you to etch on your heart the importance of not worrying about what is beyond your control. Matt 6:34 tells us "do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." No matter how much you worry, your worry won’t change the outcome -choose to live for today.

The scripture attached tells us that we must strip ourselves of everything that weighs us down or trips us up. Many of us are trying to go to a positive place with non-positive things. We must lay it all aside to be able to run this race of life God has before us. Even the weight of worrying about your future or the next steps. That is a burden that the Lord has already taken for you. As we keep our eyes on the Lord we know he has already overcome so much that it automatically calls you to be an overcomer. His outcome He ended up on top and I want you all to know you WILL end up on top, when you lay aside all the things that are far beyond your control and the things that you know you shouldn’t be doing or speaking.

Step by step, day by day.

Though you do not have control over the outcome, we have control over the choices. Let’s choose today to lighten our load. Running this race with you. --Monica B.

Build up

Day 16

Build up, don’t tear down

Good afternoon!! If I am yet to hear from you throughout the fast, please feel free to check in and let me know how it’s going for you. I hope we are remembering our acts of kindness for this week. Today I want to focus on encouraging others. There is such power, healing, peace and love in encouragement. When we take the time out to pour into someone else, even if you are not doing well yourself, it truly is a gift to them. 1 Thess 5:11 reminds us. This allows us to be a part of the change we want to see.

Something as simple as “smile”, “Jesus loves you”, “have a wonderful day”, “you are important” can uplift someone even in the smallest way. “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today”, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (Heb 3:13). You see, we do not know how sin or life’s circumstances are changing people’s lives and hearts daily. One may be deceived in feeling they are worthless, not loved, not beautiful, not smart and the list goes on. Do not be fooled by the position someone is in for even our leaders or those who seem put together need encouragement as they may be falling short and feeling discouraged as well. It is not your job to know someone’s struggles in order to offer a word of encouragement. I know in some of my most challenging times it was those who chose to see past my composure yet still managed to share words like “you can do this”, “this too shall pass” or even “you are beautiful inside and out” have made the world of difference in who I am today.

As we rely on the Lord to encourage us daily and keep us positive, begin to spread the genuine encouragement to others. Let’s build one other up - I challenge you today to encourage someone, or some people, especially those who do not expect it and watch the positivity expand. I appreciate EVERY SINGLE ONE of you who are reading this! Have a wonderful day!!!! :) - Monica B.

Ready, Set, Serve

Day 15

Ready, Set, Serve

Good morning! We are going into our final week of the positivity fast and I’m so happy to hear the changes many of you have been making. The first 2 weeks of this positivity fast involved introspection, however now we want to apply it all and spread the positivity inter-personally. This weekend I challenge you to participate in at least one random act of kindness and one intentional act of kindness.

An example of a random act of kindness might be paying for the car behind you in the drive thru, leave quarters in the laundromat for the next person, taping a positive note inside a bathroom stall, mailing someone a positive card without your name or return address, doing an unassigned chore, etc. The idea is to pretty much do something kind/positive where you will not get the credit for it. The intentional act of kindness may be offering an umbrella to someone in need, helping the less fortunate, helping someone carry groceries or any positive act of service you complete throughout the weekend.

This weekend you are challenged to take positivity and share it with others. Pay it forward. When you complete a task at any time this weekend simply send a message back saying “Intentional” or “Random”. If you'd like to share a brief story on what you did so that it may provide ideas for others feel free to, so that we can spread more positivity.

Let's live positivity on purpose. Ready, set, serve!
Have a blessed Friday! -Monica

Wisdom

Day 14
Pride Aside Choose Humility

Good morning!!! In order to not argue and complain it is important to understand the issues with pride and emphasize humility. An example of this could be when you have an argument with a person, choosing to not feel you have to win,but choosing to allow the Lord to work it out. “Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.” (Prov 29:23).

There are so many more positive outcomes in life when we choose humility. The bible speaks of it often. When we look for people to lift us up the foundation is shaky and can be lost at any point in time. When we seek for the Lord to lift us up in His due season we will reap all the good we have sown in humility. We know that we show love when we are not proud and there is such power in love. 1 Cor 13:4 tells us “Love is not jealous or boastful or proud”.

Let's choose humility today. Begin exposing and burying your prideful ways. How much more of a positive impact can you make when YOU set YOU aside. Have a blessed day!! -Monica

Be Optimistic

Day 13

Complaining and Arguing

Good morning!! It was such a pleasure praying for all of you who responded yesterday. I’m excited to see what God will do when that fear and anxiety is released. Today let’s put this scripture into practice “Do everything without complaining and arguing,” (Philippians 2:14).

Many times we can get into the habit of complaining because we are unhappy about our circumstances. Let's make it clear, there is a difference between addressing an issue and complaining about an issue. There is a difference between discussing something with someone or having a disagreement and arguing. Both complaining and arguing are negative ways to use our tongue. In both of these instances you can end up saying things that you don't mean or you can displace the focus from solving the problem.
An example maybe at your job, in your relationship or among strangers - do not mask complaining as “venting” yet you do it over and over or the same thing to multiple people. Yes we can address our feelings or process them but we have to be mindful about the way it's done. Is it promoting change or prompting conflict? Let's begin to turn our complaints into gratitude and arguments into discussions and prayers. How much more effective would your conversations be with those around you if it was edifying and uplifting? Or what if something did not go your way you choose to address it with the person or with God and leave it at that, not the daily complaint about the same thing?

Today I encourage you to start turning these things around and efforts to becoming more positive with those around you.

                                   ðŸš«Complaint/Arguing Zone🚫

“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” (Rom 14:19) Have a blessed day! -Monica

PEACE

Day 12
Letting Go Fear and Anxiety

Good morning!! Many times one of the things that can sneak up and cripple you from being positive is the fear and anxiety of things to come or things going on in your life. In the bible it tells us, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10). Why be so worried and anxious about what is to come when you have assurance that as you pray and thank God, He will hear it and answer in HIS way. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Phil 4:6).” If someone told you that you would have one million dollars if only you let go of all fear and anxiety. I’m sure we would have a lot of millionaires. So in reality I am telling you that you can gain so much more if you let go of fear and anxiety. There is such treasure in living a life of peace and joy that no amount of money can overcome. So today I challenge you to "Let it Go"🎶! (Just like frozen lol).

Make the choice today to step in a new level of trust and to let go and let God. Stop trying your way and worrying about the outcome or fearing the places God is taking you. Choose courage (Joshua 1:9), peace (Phil 4:7), hope and joy (Romans 15:13). So those of you who choose to let go of the fear and anxiety today and give it to God, simply send a message back saying “Letting it go” and I will pray for you throughout the day. Have an awesome day!! - Monica

Choose Joy

Day 11

Good morning!! Sometimes being positive is that more difficult because you are in a storm and you are just striving to be happy. Happiness, just as the storm, is temporary. If we are seeking to be happy for these 21 days, then on day 23 we may just fall right back off the positivity wagon.
Happiness is an emotional state that so much focus is put on but can easily be taken away once a trial occurs or your day is set off.

Joy is being able to rejoice in knowing that there is not a storm that the Lord cannot calm or remove. I know even in this time some of you are going through some things that make it feel so impossible to be positive. However CHOOSE JOY! Don’t fake it but Faith it. Have faith that you will be able to do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Phil 4:13) and remember there is not a battle that has defeated you because you are still alive to push for another day. I challenge you to start choosing joy daily even in the midst of what you are going through instead of defeat, complaining, or temporary emotions.

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (1 Thess 5:16-18).

Have a blessed positive day!! - Monica

Progress

Day 10

Good afternoon !! It’s been such a blessing hearing from some of you over the past few days. I know many of you are trying really hard to implement some changes not just during the fast but as life changes which is awesome! In growth and change it is important to know and understand that you are not expected to be perfect - though we move towards perfection, we are only perfected in Christ. What does that mean exactly? That means that we must rely on Him to help us towards perfection in HIS way not ours. It can get frustrating trying to make changes and to continue to mess up even as you are trying your hardest.

Remember it is only your job to keep praying and keep trying, the Lord sees your heart and your effort and most importantly hears your prayers. In 2 Corinthians 12:9 the Lord tells us "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness”. Being what society calls a “perfectionist” can cause you to stumble even more. An example may be that when you do not achieve the goal you wanted to, instead of embracing your progress you become negative and tear yourself down.

Positivity is acknowledging those efforts in yourself and others while striving for Godly perfection which is actually in our imperfections. Sometimes the change comes in a day, sometimes it takes years but remember “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Gal 6:9. Do not give up, do not get frustrated, just remember your progress not perfection.

Today I challenge you to reflect on your progress and pray to the Lord to help you as you strive for His best. I am proud of you all for wanting to become more positive but most importantly God is! Have a blessed day!! -Monica

Sensing your senses

Day 9

Good morning!! As important as it is to watch what you say it is also good that you are aware of how you are using your other senses. Two of them in particular we want to focus on today are your eyes and your ears.

What you see and hear can easily become something that either causes you to sin, create a negative mindset or simply becoming numb to it where you have no emotion. An example might be that you watch so many fighting videos that as you are watching someone get beat up you have no emotion to stop it. And with that same scenario another outcome could be that you yourself begin to feel that the answer is fighting, and that there is nothing wrong with fighting.

If you hear someone say something enough times there is a high chance that you will replay it in your mind and that could cause you to believe the negative things they say or to become negative yourself. Matt 5:28 says “anyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery” which is an example of how powerful your eyes can connect to your thoughts and actions.
 Sense Your Senses
What are you watching or listening to that causes you to slip back negatively? Maybe it's the people you’re around, things you watch, music you listen to, whatever it may be that prompts negativity. Spend today reflecting on these things and become more intentional about what you take in. Remember it's your gift. Praying for you all! Have a blessed, positive day!! -Monica

Speak Life

Day 8

Good morning!! We are starting our second week of positivity, I hope you are getting in the swing of things, and I encourage those who haven’t done the forgiveness challenge to give it a try. We are focusing on positive thoughts, WORDS and actions so let’s look at the tongue. The tongue is such a tricky thing that can easily take us out of our positive mindset or can cause negative actions.(Read James 3:1-12)

Take a pause and tame your tongue

The same small tongue that we use to say how great God is, can be the same little thing we use to curse those around us. Reflect. What kind of words come out of your mouth? Are you uplifting or are you tearing down? Are you speaking things that you would be embarrassed if the person you are speaking about found out? Are you speaking things that you would be embarrassed if children repeated? Are you keeping a positive mind but a negative mouth? Is profanity a regular thing for you? “Don’t use foul or abusive language” Eph. 4:29. A lot to reflect and all of this can be difficult to control. However a great question to ask is, do you pause before you speak? I know personally this has been one of the difficult things to change over the years however over prayer and time, it is possible to improve.

Today I encourage you to start being more aware of the words you are speak. Take a pause and tame your tongue. Have a blessed positive day! -Monica

Forgiveness is for YOU

Day 7
Good morning! Yesterday we reflected on why we need to forgive. Forgiveness is an action. It is consistent and becomes a lifestyle just as positivity is. There are countless reasons you should forgive but many don't know how. How can you forgive the person who may have caused you so much pain or just offended you? How can you forgive the parent, ex, violator, etc., who brought negative things your way? Faith and Love. We have faith that God will work things out for our good and His glory so we have faith that at the end of the situation we will be good and there is a reason to grow from. There is ALWAYS a positive. We learned about loving those who are difficult to love and this is an ideal opportunity to love when someone has hurt you. Does it mean they are right? No. It simply means that you will allow God to be the one to convict them in His time. So I challenge you this today, write a list of people that you harbor unforgiveness with whether it be recent or for years. Write near their names how long you have held onto this hurt. Then I want you to pray for them and allow God to lead you to genuinely forgive them in the most appropriate way. If you take time to do this, simply send a message via the comment section stating “Done”. I will start by saying “Done”. I wish you a blessed day!! --Monica

Matters of the heart

Day 6
Good morning!! Yesterday we focused on loved to love, and to make that even more clear today we want to look at something that keeps us from loving others often; unforgiveness.

Unforgiveness is one of the big things that make it hard to be positive. Think about it, you are in a great mood and having a great day but then you see someone who did something to you in the past and your mood completely switches up. Even further it causes those who are around you, who may know about the situation to add into the negative feelings. Or another example your spouse or significant other does something and you are holding on to it days later, you end up having negative feelings in your heart and worse your living environment. Yet through both of these examples you try to move on as if everything else is okay.

You can’t pray for God to make you more positive while you are harboring unforgiveness. The bible tells us “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too” Mark 11:25.

              Forgive
How much unforgiveness are you harboring? We are not sinless, and daily we are forgiven by God. I know that if you are on this challenge/fast you want to make changes and hopefully are praying on those changes; so clear your heart to receive all the positive things to come.

Today I want you to begin reflecting on your most recent dealings with unforgiveness and begin to forgive. Tomorrow we will continue to reflect on practical ways to forgive. As always you are welcome to reach out for prayer or encouragement via the comment box on the blog, as I know this is one of the hardest topics to deal with. Have a blessed & beautiful day! -Monica

Confidence

Day 4
Good morning!! Confidence can at times be something that blocks us from being positive. Insecurities and doubt can breed much negativity. Many of us have a hard time seeing how our insecurities affect those around us but some of us already know it does. An example may be how you respond in offense to something that is said due to your own insecurities with a certain matter.

As we reflected yesterday on wanting what others have, we can also lose confidence in ourselves through comparisons to others. Maybe you have someone in your life who you feel is smarter, more attractive, more well off and in turn it causes you to feel that you are not as significant. This can hold you back from your calling or cause you to not walk confidently in your purpose. This may also cause you to be overly critical of yourself and not truly love who you are. We have to have confidence in who we are created to be and even further in our Creator. The bible says you are “I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made….” (Psalm 139:14). It encourages you to praise God for the way that He created you. With NO MISTAKES. How much more positive could we be if we praised God for who he made us to be? When those struggles arise, which is common, we have to be able to trust in our confidant who we can lay all these insecurities to. Are you confident in your confidant? (Read Jeremiah 17:7)

         You're a blessing

Let’s begin to thank God for who we are and the positive changes we are making. I know that each and every one of you is special and am eager to hear you Confidently being more positive by loving who you are! Have a wonderful day! -Monica

Loved to Love.

Good morning!!! This has been heavy on my heart to share this morning. Our positivity truly expands with understanding that we are loved. Not temporarily, not superficially, but unconditionally loved. Many people know the Bible verse John 3:16, “For God so loved the world…” however do you live by that knowledge that you are loved?

LOVED
DAY 5

When we truly grasp this concept that we are loved by God we do not hold mere humans to such a high standard to love us. This knowledge should push you to love others even more than you are worried about how they love you. I know this sounds complex to some and I want you to read 1 John 4:16-21 in depth. In verse 19, it tells us that “we love each other because He (God) loved us first.” What it does not say is only love your friends, family or select few, it tells us love each other. This may be hard as we know people do things at times that honestly make them EXTREMELY hard to love. Let’s remember that we don’t choose not love them, we just choose to not like their behaviors. You can love someone or show love to someone without approving their behaviors, choices or attitudes. Think about it, God still shows us love despite our sinful nature and although he does not approve of our behaviors, He still loves us. A parent loves their child even if they do not approve of their disobedience, but they still manage to love them. This proves we have the ability to love those even if we do not like their behaviors. So let’s begin to think about how we are or are not showing love to those around us and how we can show love more on purpose. Today let’s choose love! I know this can be tough, BUT GOD. If anyone needs additional prayer or encouragement on this please feel free to reach out via the email icon at the bottom of this post. Sending much love your way!!! God bless. - Monica

I want it.

Good morning!! Today I want us to focus on wanting what others have. The last commandment tells us “You must not covet (yearn to possess) your neighbor's house…” Exodus 20:17. Let’s take a moment to reflect on it. How many things have you simply wanted because someone else had it, and it caused you to respond negatively if you were unable to obtain it? This can come easy in a society where advertising is the norm. I mean think about what most ads do, they set you up to see something and make it look appealing to the point that you feel you need it and have to have it or you will feel unsatisfied. How this applies to our day to day is it causes us to not notice how we tend to want what others have.
              DAY 3
This could relate to wanting the life we “think” someone has, the job that someone has, marriage, baby, (the list goes on…). This leads to negativity because you are not content where God has you and discontentment can cause conflict, depression or even asking/praying to God “why not me”. The more you focus on those things that you do not have the less you can open your heart to appreciate the season you are in and what you do have. Even further do you really want the truth of what the person experienced to get there? Your story is not meant to be anyone else's. I challenge you when you begin to feel that urge to yearn for what someone else has ask yourself, “Why do I want it?”. So let's shift to a positive mindset and begin being GENUINELY happy for those in season of success or breakthrough and being content in our own season as we are being perfected. I mean no one could do a better job at being YOU. Have a positive, content day!!! -Monica

Don't stress, Rest.

DAY 2
Good morning! How many times do we tend to use "stress" as an excuse to be negative? This can easily occur especially in the fast pace, high demand society we live in. Today I want to bring attention to the impact of stress on us. The dictionary defines stress as “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.” The main thing I want to point out is that it is the “mental”, that means we have control over how we respond in our mental space. How can we create a positive mental space if we are viewing stress as a barrier/excuse? I encourage you to rest your stress upon the Lord. You aren’t and never have been in control of certain stressors, so why not release the mental/emotional strain. How much more effective can you be today if you put that stress to rest. The Lord tells all of us whoever is weary and burdened to come to Him and he will give us rest (Matt 11:28-30). Also read John 14:27 & James 1:2-4.

Today I encourage you not to stress but to REST. Have a blessed, Positive day!! - Monica

Ready, Set, Reset.

DAY 1
On your marks, get set and reset:
Good morning! Today we begin our journey of 21 days of positive thoughts, words and actions. I know some of you desire this reset but doubt that you can become more positive but let's eliminate even that thought out of our minds. You may consistently deal with doubt and that itself is negative. How do we face doubt? Faith. Even the smallest bit of faith can move mountains (Matt 17:20). I know that your willingness to try this is an action with faith and know that God can change these habits. Let’s remove focus on the things we have done last week, yesterday or even 5 minutes ago. Every conscious effort you make towards being more positive is more important than the past. This is a reset. Let us renew our minds and allow the transformation to begin.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 - Monica
