These Pumps were made for walking!

Are you walking on the right path? Are you trusting in what God’s word says about you, and stepping out in faith?

Psalm 119:105 your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

It’s so easy to read the scripture above and begin to think about walking in disobedience to God’s word. But have you ever thought about it in the sense of you being disobedient because you are not truly trusting in God’s word for your life? Or maybe you’re walking in fear, fear that you may fail if you try, fear that the economy is too bad, or fear of any other kind.

When we do not allow His word to be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, how can we expect to succeed at being who He designed us to be? Will we ever be able to say that we live a life of purpose, joy, peace, fulfillment and abundance; if we do not allow His word to be our guide?

What are your dreams? What are the most sincere desires of your heart? Take some time and truly think about those things. Life can become so hectic, that we often snuff out that burning fire inside of us. We become bogged down with so many things and began to allow negative thoughts talk us out of ever fulfilling our purpose on this earth.

Don’t allow fear or people’s opinions or your limited ability, or finances to carry out the things that God has placed in you and or called you to do. Pray and seek God for guidance. He will lead you!

Here is a great quote that I read:

“It’s never too late to become who you could have been” (I don’t know who wrote it).
Isn’t that encouraging? It’s never too late! Whether you desire to go back to school, start your own business, bakery, hair salon, spa, auto repair shop. Whatever it is, allow Gods word to be a lamp unto your feet, and a light unto your path!

The African impala can jump more than ten feet high and cover a distance of thirty feet. So why it is that impalas can be held captive in a zoo behind a wall that is only three feet high? It’s because this magnificent animal will not jump if it can’t see where its feet are going to fall–and beyond the zoo wall it cannot see.

Don’t be like the impala. God has placed many great gift and abilities in you. Just because you may not see where the road ahead is leading, don’t short change yourself by settling where you are due to fear. God sees where you’re going. Trust him and JUMP over that fence!
