Are you heading in the right direction?
The direction you are currently traveling - relationally, financially, spiritually and the list goes on and on - will determine where you end up in each of those prospective areas. This is true regardless of your goals, your dreams, your wishes, or your wants. The principle of the path trumps all of those things. Your current direction will determine your destination. And like every principle, you can leverage this one to your advantage or ignore it to your disadvantage. Just as there are paths that have led us to places we never intended to be, there are paths that lead us away from those places as well.
I know it's tempting to believe that our good intentions, aspirations and dreams somehow have the ability to do an end run around the decisions we make on a daily basis. But at the end of the day, the principle of the path determines the outcome. Simply put, you and I will win or lose in life by the paths we choose.

- I've spent about $20 this week on food - Lunch & breakfast (Better than $60 previously) I am working on getting that to $0-$5
- I donated $10 to the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days campaign (You can donate too if you'd like, here's the link) http://ok7.us/zu
- I bought some hair rollers $9. I needed them... TRUST ME!
- I have gone into a few stores, and I tried things on. But, I did not purchase anything! =)

Financial freedom Tips
Tips for achieving financial freedom:
Make a plan and stick to it!
Ask a friend or family member to hold you accountable.
Don't go "browsing" in the mall #BadPlan
Don't look at sales flyer's in the newspaper
Tell people not to send you coupons for the "Gap" or any other store via email!
If you get store coupons or flyer's in your email delete them ASAP
Coordinate your old clothes and add accessories for a fresh new look
Enlist your friends to be your personal fashion designers (Sometimes a fresh view is required)
Do a clothes swap with your friends. Everyone has stuff that they don't want. One woman's trash is another woman's treasure!
Whatever it is just make a plan to get out of debt and find someone to hold you accountable!
Me embracing change...
So, after a long conversation with a close friend. I made a decision to dedicate the next three months to becoming debt free (excluding my car loan). It was a hard decision, because I'd rather spend $500 on a new handbag and an uber cute outfit, rather than paying off a bill that "I" charged up... Sad... I know! But many of you are in the same boat! (HELLO) I will be totally honest with you... I am a little frightened. Only because I know that this decision will require a great amount of discipline and sacrifice... (OUCH my foot). Believe it or not I was actually at Macy's today, yes Macy's, looking at a pair of chocolate brown knee high leather boots! Yes, and they were on super sale... (I said) Super sale! The boots were $99.00, and they were marked down to $26.49!!! I tried on one boot and walked around in it... (Ugh, my heart is racing) but, I didn't buy the boots, or any other boots for that matter! See I did it!!! That $26 can go towards paying off a bill! So, I was victorious today (Pats self on the back)!
I am not saying that there is anything wrong with purchasing yourself nice things, however if it's putting you into debt, you need to re-evaluate your spending habits. Be real with yourself and get things in order!
This was not me today! LOL (laugh out loud)My goal is to treat myself to a great vacation in the summer (debt free)! I am confident that I can, and I will achieve my goal. If you're in debt you should take the challenge with me! Get outta debt!

How serious are you about wanting change in your life? A lot of us want our lives to change…but we’re not willing to do our part. If you really want things to change in your life—and experience the fullness of the life Jesus died to give you—here are some things that you need to do.
Spend Time with God
First, examine your priorities and see what needs to change. You can’t think spending 45 minutes or an hour in church on Sunday mornings is all you need to live in victory. Since the devil is alive and well every day, then you need a daily walk with God.
The wonderful thing is, there’s no formula. You can just be with Him. Pray, laugh, cry, talk or sit still and not open your mouth. It’s that easy.
Stand Up on the Inside
Next, you need to get serious about changing your life. Every one of us has an outer life and an inner life. Many of us want our outside circumstance to change while we stay depressed on the inside. But before you can get up on the outside, you have to get up on the inside.
You may have a circumstance in your life right now where you feel like you have no choice but to sit down. If that’s the case, tell yourself you’re going to stay enthusiastic, passionate, stirred up, excited, positive, and full of hope and faith on the inside. Make up your mind that you’re never going to quit.
Get Up and Clean Up!
In John 5 there’s a story about a man who I believe represents a lot of people who refuse to change.
During a Jewish feast in Jerusalem, Jesus visited the Bethesda pool where sick people gathered, hoping to get healed. One of the people waiting to get healed was a man who had been crippled for 38 years. When Jesus saw him, He asked if he wanted to be healed.
To me, the man’s answer tells us why he hadn’t been healed in 38 years. He said, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred.” Bottom line, the man had avoided responsibility.
His second problem was that he blamed others. The man said, “While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”
How did Jesus respond? Jesus didn’t feel sorry for him. Instead, Jesus said, rather sternly, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” In other words, stop being lazy and get on with your life.
For change to occur in your life, it’s not only important that you stop being a prisoner of your circumstances. You also have to choose to become a prisoner of hope. This means being a person who cannot get away from hope. If you’ll do this, you’ll receive double of anything that’s taken away from you. That’s a promise from God.
Never Give Up!
It was a special day in my life when I realized I didn’t have to give up; I could have hope in the worst circumstances. Regardless of what the situation looks like, I believe that God can give me a breakthrough.
We all want instantaneous breakthrough, but it’s going to take time. And you may go through long periods, even years, feeling like you haven’t made any progress at all, but you have.
Most of the time change occurs daily in little increments that you don’t even notice. But if you’ll just look back after a year or two, you’ll realize that things in your life have changed.
No matter what your circumstance or situation is, you can choose to change. You can choose to hope. You can choose to never give up. You can choose to experience the life Jesus died to give you. Now get up and go!

Perception
What's your viewpoint? Are you looking at the glass half full or half empty. Do you see a set-up for a great opportunity or a setback?
The way you choose, (Yes, I said "you choose") to view situations and circumstances in your life are totally up to you. Life is unscripted! There is nothing certain, nor is there anything new under the sun. You will be thrown monkey wrenches, screw drivers, chainsaws, and any other tool that you can imagine being thrown at you! On top of that, what your going through may be horrible, but guess what? There is someone, somewhere that is going through something similiar, the same, or worse. That's the harsh reality!
My advice to myself and to you is to stop feeling sorry for yourself, brush off and keep going!
- Find someone to talk to that you know will motivate you to do better.
- Don't talk to people who will encourage you to feel sorry for yourself
- Do not seclude yourself from people. It will lead to depression.
- Go for a walk. Admire nature.
- Be thankful, for the little things (Clean drinking water)
- Excercise (If you can) It increases your mood & gives you energy.
- Open your curtains and blinds. Sunlight brings happy energy.
- Look for a new job (If your job is your issue)
- Read uplifting books (The Bible, devotional books, motivational magazines)
- Listen to uplifting music.
- Stay away from negativity at all cost (Every kind - people, movies, music, places)
