God Will Brighten Your Day

He set himself to seek God... An as long as he sought (inquired of, yearned for) the Lord, God made him prosper. 2 Chronicles 26:5

Jesus got up early in the morning, long before daylight, and went out to a deserted place, and prayed - He got alone (See Mark 1:35). There were so many people who followed Jesus everywhere he went that he probably wouldn't have had any time alone if he hadn't gotten up really early.

If you aren't a morning person, the thought of getting up early may make you nervous. But you can decipher for yourself what "early" means for you.

Above excerpt taken from Joyce Meyer's "Starting Your Day Right Devotional for Each Morning of the Year"

The way we start our day sets the tone of the day. Notice that I said the way "we" start our day, not "the way our day starts". When we awake each morning, we don't know what lies ahead of us, but God does. The truth is that the events of the day will go on with or without us, choosing to spend time daily with the Lord allows us to clearly discern his voice when He speaks to us. When we can clearly decipher His voice from any other, we can easily obey His instructions. What if God wants you to buy someone a cup of coffee and share His love with them, but because you don't spend time with Him, you brush off that voice.

Seeking the Lord, and allowing Him to direct our steps daily, provides us with the wisdom and guidance needed to purposely navigate through life.

Choose today to spend time and seek Him. Purpose awaits you!
